We are so excited to announce that we are going to be performing on the 2012 Mid-Atlantic Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival. Lustre has a lot of history with this event, having performed in 2009 and 2010 in the Mid-Altantic festival, and in 2012 in the New York City festival. We love the “Sweeps” events, because of the opportunity to meet and perform with other a cappella singers from styles other than barbershop. Whether it’s doo-wop, jazz, “vocal play”, gospel, or contemporary a cappella, we always love to hear the other artists “do their thing”, while we represent the barbershop style. This event is also a unique opportunity to sing in a “night club” environment, as the Birchmere is a hot venue in the local club scene. You can enjoy a great dinner and drinks if you like, along with the entertainment.
